**Job Title:** SEMH Teaching Assistant

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Your primary responsibility will be to provide individualized support and implement strategies to promote positive behavior and wellbeing.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Support students with SEMH needs in a one-on-one and small group setting.
  • Implement strategies and interventions to support the social and emotional development of students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to address specific needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of behavior support plans.

**Requirements:**

  • Proven experience in a similar Teaching Assistant role is advantageous.
  • Empathy and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Knowledge of relevant SEMH strategies and interventions.
