Assistant Accountant - Office based - on site parking.

To assist in the delivery of accurate and timely financial information and maintain a robust control environment and culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Financial Accountant with the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Act as a liaison between the finance team and the external shared service centre for accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers.
  • Participate in weekly calls with customer services, business managers, and customers to discuss AR cash collection activities and provide financial support.
  • Manage the AP on-hold report to ensure a smooth procure-to-pay process.
  • Provide additional finance support to maintain accurate and up-to-date AP/AR ledgers.
  • Assist in the preparation and recording of cash forecasts and actuals.
  • Run the internal intra-netting process to optimize financial transactions.
  • Process ad-hoc invoices and credit notes, requiring a hands-on approach.
  • Process employee expenses into the ERP system.
  • Create manual and BACS payment runs.
  • Support the finance team with external audit information requests.

Requirements:

· Strong IT skills, with experience in working with ERP systems.

· Previous experience with AP/AR ledgers, with a strong understanding of financial processes.

· Ability to efficiently organize workloads and work autonomously or as part of a team.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.

· Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
