About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Controller to join our team at UL, a leading Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) business. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a vital role in driving financial performance and providing strategic insights to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to driving financial performance through UMS (UL Manufacturing System) and collaborate with the leadership team to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead the annual business planning process, forecasts, and actual reporting to ensure accurate financial data and informed decision-making.
  • Develop and implement cost improvement and restructuring projects, including capex and sourcing initiatives, to drive efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provide financial expertise and challenge on ad hoc projects to support business growth and improvement.
  • Lead and monitor cost controlling activities, including Month-End Close, Fixed Assets, and Costing, to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Provide analysis of output transfer prices and detail reasons for movements to support informed decision-making.
  • Develop relationships with the finance community within the EU supply chain to drive performance improvements and share best practices.
  • Play an active role in driving change and continuous improvement in the business and within finance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent certifications in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience with strong leadership skills.
  • Prior work experience in Supply Chain Finance is strongly preferred.
  • Microsoft Office and Advanced Excel required.
  • SAP experience required.
  • Business partnering experience with clear, focused, and sound financial assessment and guidance.
