Job Title: Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant - Special Needs Expert

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils with Special Needs and Challenging Behaviour in a secondary school setting. Your primary responsibility will be to provide individualised support to students with mental health difficulties, challenging behaviour, and learning disabilities such as Autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work 1:1 with pupils with Special Needs and Challenging Behaviour
  • Provide individualised support to students with mental health difficulties, challenging behaviour, and learning disabilities
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualised education plans
  • Act as a positive role model to encourage children to fulfil their potential academically, emotionally, and socially

Requirements:

  • Experience working with challenging behaviour and special needs
  • Passion for supporting mental health within the community
  • Ability to work 1:1 with pupils and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
