Job Purpose: To provide a regulated Building Control Service, ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, Building Act 1984, and Building Regulations 2010. This role is responsible for protecting the health, safety, and welfare of individuals in and around buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess building works and applications for compliance against building regulations and associated legislation.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure building regulations are being met.
  • Protect the public from dangerous structures, unauthorized works, and demolition work.
  • Initiate enforcement procedures against non-compliant building works.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with legislation and codes of practice.
  • Work efficiently and professionally within statutory timescales.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to assess and analyze basic structural calculations and details.
