The Opportunity

Airedale by Modine is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Engineer to join our team in the Controls Project department. As a key member of our projects team, you will work on a variety of internal and external projects, collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure successful project delivery.

The Role

The Project Controls Engineer will be responsible for preparing, scheduling, and coordinating technical and engineering projects. You will provide project engineering support, including documentation, design operations, and engineering diagrams. Additionally, you will supervise on-site works, manage sub-contractors, and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and coordinate project schedules, timelines, and budgets.
  • Provide project engineering support, including documentation and design operations.
  • Supervise on-site works and manage sub-contractors.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Liaise with customers, project engineers, and managers to resolve issues and ensure project success.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance project quality and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the project team to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in HVAC/BMS/Engineering projects, either as an on-site engineer or in an office support role.
  • Competent electrical knowledge and ability to understand electrical drawings.
  • Competent HVAC and/or BMS knowledge, capable of understanding engineered systems to a high level.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS qualification or willingness to undertake.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, potentially on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a logical and methodical approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to write clear and concise reports.
  • CSCS or equivalent qualification held (or willingness to undertake).
  • Awareness of BMS/DCIM and common communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, TCP/IP).
  • Knowledge of IT systems, servers, and communication networks.
  • Experience with Tridium Niagara 4 & AX software and controllers.
