Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Test Environment Lead to join our Environment Management Team at Kingfisher. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing the Non-Production Test Environment requirements for projects and continuous work. Your primary focus will be on ensuring governance, providing mentorship, and serving as the primary escalation point for any Non-Prod Environment-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership of Non-Production Test Environment usage & requirements for projects and programmes of work, including analysis of new demand and identifying timeline, usage costs, point of contact, requirements & recommended route to Production.
  • Support users in booking the appropriate Environments & review booking requests for accuracy & alignment.
  • Governing the adherence to our processes.
  • Collaboration with project/programme teams, as Environment point of contact.
  • Escalation support for Non-Prod Incidents and Requests
  • Understand ways of working & promote Environment governance including in low-adherence areas.

What You'll Bring

  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously but keeping in close touch with the wider team.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to provide objective summaries of complex information.
  • Ability to think and work strategically as we work through transformation.
  • Comfortable with context-switching throughout the day.
  • Comfortable working without the rigid structure and processes of Production as we navigate & improve what this needs to look like in the future.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working in a large multi business unit organisation.
  • Experience working with Hybrid Cloud & On-Premise Environments.
  • Experienced in Agile and DevOps methodology.
  • Knowledge of automated pipelines.
  • Service-oriented background.
