Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Avery Healthcare. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the catering function and maintaining a clean environment for the safe production of beverages and meals.

Main Duties:

  • Support the catering team in food preparation and kitchen maintenance.
  • Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Contribute to team working and advise on supply and quality of items used.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of food safety procedures and practices.

Person Specification:

  • The ideal candidate must hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene, have knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments, and be an efficient worker capable of a high level of sustained physical effort and able to respond to a demanding workload.

Salary Information: The estimated salary for this position is £24,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
