Electrical Engineer Job Opportunity

Green Cat Renewables Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their Engineering Team in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing renewable projects' electrical elements and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Active problem-solving with clients, network operators, and technology suppliers to manage and mitigate electrical project risks.
  • Providing electrical input and managing Balance of Plant Contractors, ICPs, and suppliers.
  • Reviewing and approving electrical designs and specifications for tendering.
  • Collaborating with Project Managers to ensure electrical works are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Providing electrical technical assistance across the company's departments.
Requirements:
  • BEng or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 3+ years' experience in managing renewable projects' electrical elements and respective teams.
  • Ability to evaluate suppliers' bids and contractors' proposals technically and commercially.
  • Knowledge of the UK Grid Code and ENA G99 engineering requirements.
  • Proficiency in software-based modeling and simulation tools such as ETAP, PSCAD, PSSE, DigSILENT, or CDEGS.
