Main Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer at WGM Engineering Ltd, you will be responsible for carrying out planned installations and maintenance on pumps, motors, and other rotating equipment. You will need to demonstrate a thorough understanding of current electrical regulations, including BS7671.

Key Tasks
  1. Carry out electrical isolations and process instructions in accordance with the WGM Electrical Safety Rules (ESR)
  2. Complete required NICEIC Certification
  3. Fault find and rectify problems on a variety of electrical issues
  4. Deliver electrical compliance to the standard identified within the electrical specifications for wastewater (WIMES)
  5. Respond to reactive callouts and work alongside mechanical engineers to investigate, rectify, and solve
  6. Deliver work schedules and look-ahead information across each work front
  7. Interpret RAMS and prepare daily briefings
  8. Lead and deliver jobs ensuring sites are left safe
  9. Attend sites to scope the Safety and Engineering aspects of each required task and convert information into useable formats for Estimating purposes
  10. Create technical reports and Quality Plans
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need to have at least 2-3 years of previous electrical experience, ideally within an engineering background. You will require excellent technical skills and the ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative. Relevant electrical qualifications or an HND are required for the role, as well as being qualified to the 18th edition wiring regulations.
