About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CAMHS Clinician to join our team in York. The successful candidate will have a professional registration as a Child, Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist.

This is a 12-month fixed term/secondment opportunity requiring candidates to work with young people and their families with mental health challenges living in the York area.

Main Duties of the Job

The CAMHS Team provides specialist assessments, treatment, and interventions for young people suffering from moderate to severe complex emotional, behavioural, and psychological issues resulting in mental health problems.

Ideally, the candidates will already be trained in a governed evidence-based therapy such as CBT, DBT, or SFP, or be trained as a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP). Experience of working clinically with children and young people with Mental Health and Neurodevelopmental needs is essential.

However, the team is currently in a position to help staff develop knowledge and experience within CAMHS and offer additional training as appropriate to role.

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum.
