Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at York's Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. The successful candidate will provide assessment and treatment to young people and their families in the city of York.

About the Role

The post holder will work alongside an established and committed team, providing a psychology lens to our teams practice and development. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of professionals, including a supportive and experienced Psychology team.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based assessment and treatment interventions as part of the mental health pathways.
  • Offer input to individuals, their families and carers in a clinic setting.
  • Provide supervision and support to the team in developing our practice.

The ideal candidate will have the necessary skills and experience to undertake direct clinical work with children and families, offer clinical supervision and consultation, contribute to service evaluation, as well as manage the demands of service development and change.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone with:

  • A Postgraduate qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (or its equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the British Psychological Society.
  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Trained in clinical supervision (within agreed timescale).
  • Experience working with mental health/learning disability clients.
  • Multi-disciplinary team working experience.

A competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, is available for this role.
