Business Development Manager Opportunity

We are working with a leading Haulage / Logistics company based in the Burton-upon-Trent area of Staffordshire to recruit a Business Development Manager. This role is within a small friendly sales team and reports directly to the UK Director.

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for generating 100% new business in your first year, with subsequent years focusing on retaining and improving sales with existing clients, as well as adding new ones. The company specializes in automotive and chemical haulage, but can transport most goods, providing a wide range of prospects.

You will be setting your own diary, with occasional overnight stays away from the office. You may occasionally visit the company's headquarters in Europe, but this will be rare.

To be successful in this role, you should have experience selling within the domestic road Haulage market and be an excellent communicator. Self-motivation is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business opportunities within the Haulage sector
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities
  • Work closely with the sales team to achieve sales targets

Requirements:
