About the Role

We are seeking a Community Organisation Development Officer to join our team at Locality. As a Community Organisation Development Officer, you will deliver high-quality support to community-based organisations and other stakeholders across the south of England, with a particular focus on London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one advice and deliver workshops, training sessions, and other means of support to ensure community organisations thrive.
  • Work to develop external relationships with local authorities and other organisations, contributing to Locality's wider aims through consultancy work, research, and other projects.
  • Engage with member organisations, listening to their needs and utilising their experiences.
  • Contribute to income generation through consultancy work.
  • Help foster partnerships and alliances that support Locality's mission.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working in or supporting communities, whether in a paid or voluntary role.
  • The ability to deliver credible advice to community businesses and organisations.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, both digital and in person.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to self-manage.
