Role Overview

We are seeking an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer or Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our MEP division in Manchester. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will work on diverse projects across all sectors, including education, energy, healthcare, industry, manufacturing, heritage, defence, leisure, retail, hospitality, commercial, and residential.

You will be responsible for delivering complex electrical designs, producing design deliverables, including specifications, drawings, and schedules. This role also involves managing projects, supporting lower-seniority Engineers, developing client relationships, and collaborating with design team members, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for various projects
  • Produce high-quality design deliverables, including specifications, drawings, and schedules
  • Manage projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards
  • Support junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the team
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Collaborate with designers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in UK building services, a relevant degree or equivalent experience/qualifications in Electrical engineering or building services, familiarity with Building Regulations requirements for energy conservation and low carbon technologies, detailed understanding of electrical design, and experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Amtech.
