Job Title: Head of Business Solutions

Citizen Housing is seeking an experienced Head of Business Solutions to lead the development of our housing management system (ActiveH) and drive an intensive improvement programme across all business systems.

About the Role

As Head of Business Solutions, you will be responsible for translating strategic objectives into digital solutions, managing software releases, overseeing the systems development roadmap, and liaising with stakeholders and suppliers. You will also manage a team of around 20 staff, including programme and project managers, technical developers, business analysts, report writers, and IT trainers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of ActiveH and drive business improvement programmes
  • Manage a team of programme and project managers, technical developers, business analysts, report writers, and IT trainers
  • Translate business objectives into effective digital outcomes through effective programme management
  • Responsibility for Citizen's Housing Management system (ActiveH) and associated core systems
  • Drive a continual improvement culture across Citizen
Requirements
  • Experience of working at a leadership level
  • Experience as a lead role in planning, implementing and developing a housing management system, preferably ActiveH
  • Experience of the technical aspects of housing management and supporting systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of the interdependencies of directorates (in the housing sector) and the ability to lead large-scale complex software projects
  • Experience of leading change and managing a programme of improvement activities
  • Good understanding of technology and the operations of an IT department
  • Knowledge of cyber security, data regulatory and quality requirements for the Housing sector
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent or extensive experience
