Job Title: Apprentice - Finance Administrator (Level 3)

Our client, a leading provider of professional training and apprenticeships in the Financial Services Sector, is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented individual to join their team as an Apprentice Finance Administrator (Level 3).

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to gain hands-on experience in financial administration, including accounts management, payroll, and customer service. As an Apprentice Finance Administrator, you will work closely with the finance team to ensure the smooth operation of financial processes and provide exceptional customer service to clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and stakeholders, responding to queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Assist with payroll processing, including data entry, calculations, and reporting
  • Monitor and manage the company's budget, ensuring accurate forecasting and financial planning
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and progress reports
  • Contribute to the development of financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Accountancy Level 3 or above
  • Experience with Xero accounting package
  • Excellent Excel skills, including complex linked spreadsheets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Apprenticeship funding and HMRC online portals
  • Sound understanding of financial risk management
