About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Wagamama. As a key member of our kitchen management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our back of house operation, embodying our People Promise + Values through your actions and behaviors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the quality of our food, managing inventory and various kitchen operations.
  • Develop and grow our junior chefs, ensuring they are engaged, motivated, and meeting Wagamama standards.
  • Manage and motivate a team to meet high standards, with opportunities for internal progression and career growth.

  • Competitive hourly rate of £13.80, with a £1000 bonus opportunity per year.

Requirements

  • Experience managing or supervising a kitchen team, with a strong track record of positive behaviors and actions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team to deliver high standards of service.
  • Experience in managing food, health, and safety standards, as well as financial performance and labor management.
  • Passion for creating an inclusive environment, where team members feel respected and valued.
