Senior Accountant

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Accountant to join our team at William Glyn Recruitment. As a key member of our accounting practice, you will be responsible for providing expert financial guidance to our clients, ensuring their financial statements are accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements for our clients, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure our clients' tax obligations are met, including drafting tax computations and return forms.
- Final Adjustments: Review and finalize financial statements and tax returns, ensuring all necessary adjustments are made.
- Submission of Financials: Submit approved financial statements and statutory tax returns to our clients, meeting their specific needs and deadlines.
- Mentoring & Development: Provide coaching and training to junior accountants, sharing your expertise and experience to develop their skills.
- Management Accounts: Prepare and present management accounts to our clients, providing relevant commentary and analysis.
- Review Work: Review working papers produced by junior accountants, ensuring compliance and quality control.
You Will:
- Be self-motivated and a team player.
- Be fully or part-qualified with ACCA or ACA.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Have the desire and ability to develop and grow within a forward-thinking and supportive environment.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills.
- Have a strong technical understanding of accounting and auditing standards.
- Desirable: Previous experience using CaseWare would be an advantage.
