Join KBS Maritime Ltd as a Graduate / Junior Design Manager and be part of a dynamic team delivering Asset Management, Facilities Management, and Energy Solutions across the maritime and defence environments.
About the Role:We are seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our Design Management team. As a Graduate / Junior Design Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of projects from inception to completion through the development of the RIBA design stages.
You will provide effective design solutions through the interpretation of design briefs and provide discipline expertise to designs across asset streams. You will work collaboratively with multi-discipline engineering teams and be responsible for effectively delivering and managing design solutions for small/medium in size and complexity projects, from inception to in-service.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement design solutions through the RIBA design stages
- Provide discipline expertise to designs across asset streams
- Work collaboratively with multi-discipline engineering teams
- Deliver and manage design solutions for small/medium in size and complexity projects
- Support and advise clients regarding design elements
- Professional working interest in either Structural, Electrical, or Civils disciplines
- Understanding and adequate knowledge of the full engineering lifecycle from inception to in-service
- Working knowledge of building regulations and British standards for civil works, and relevant regulations including PUWER, LOLER, CDM Regulations, and temporary works
- Ability to work directly with clients with minimum supervision
- Logical thinking and ability to identify risks at early stages
- Fluency in the use of IT systems
We are looking for a strong communicator with the ability to influence and showcase negotiation skills. You will have a Degree/HND or equivalent of BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering or sub-disciplines, coupled with fluency in the use of IT systems. You will be working towards a professional recognition through a relevant scientific association.
