North Yorkshire County Council is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Professional to protect the health, safety, and wellbeing of our residents through effective housing standards management and enforcement.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Environmental Health (BSc or MSc) and be a qualified Environmental Health Officer registered by the Environmental Health Registration Board. They will also have extensive knowledge of current legislation and guidance related to Housing Standards.

In this role, you will conduct inspections and audits of residential accommodation, investigate complaints, and take necessary enforcement action to ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Your excellent communication and problem-solving skills will enable you to build strong relationships with stakeholders and resolve complex issues effectively.

Our salary for this position is £41,511 - £45,718 per annum, offering a competitive package including a generous pension scheme, holiday entitlement, and access to various discounts.
