About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Solicitor to join our Group legal team at Avant Homes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of litigation matters, including contractual, construction, and property disputes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dealing with a range of property and construction related disputes, providing strategic legal solutions and high-quality legal advice.
  • Supervising and training other solicitors and members of the team on dispute work, including drafting statements of case and representing the business at court on lower value disputes.
  • Liaising with external solicitors to manage high value, complex claims, and instructing senior and junior counsel as necessary.
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders to build robust cases and resolve disputes effectively, providing updates and reports to the regional teams, the General Counsel, and the Executive.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 8 years PQE in property litigation, with experience in construction dispute work being advantageous.
  • Supervisory and training skills, with the ability to manage multiple caseloads at any one time.
  • Demonstratable technical experience gained within the Property Litigation field, with excellent IT skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate with stakeholders of all levels.
