National Marine Insurance Programs Manager

Competitive Salary: £65,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.

We are seeking a highly skilled National Marine Insurance Programs Manager to lead our team in delivering tailored insurance solutions and driving growth for our national portfolio.

This role is integral to our success and offers a superb opportunity to become a valued member of our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of marine cargo insurance accounts, focusing on client satisfaction, retention, and business growth.

About the Role

You will serve as the primary client contact, building strong relationships and crafting effective insurance programs. This includes leading a team, contributing to strategic sales initiatives, and implementing risk management solutions that align with client needs and business objectives.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute a national sales strategy for marine insurance products.
  • Manage a portfolio of marine cargo insurance accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Lead and manage a dedicated team, setting objectives and driving performance.
  • Prepare, present, and manage insurance proposals, endorsements, and renewals.
  • Conduct risk and insurance program reviews, recommending cost-effective solutions.
  • Design, build, and implement comprehensive risk and insurance programs.
  • Identify emerging client needs to inform new product and service development.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Degree in Business Management or related field; Associate or Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years in a senior account management role, with business development experience.
  • At least 2 years in a team leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in customer relationship management, consulting, and project management.
  • Analytical, consultative, and solution-oriented approach to client needs.
  • High-level knowledge of general insurance products and FCA compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • English proficiency (additional European languages preferred).
  • Ability to travel nationally up to 50% of the time.
