Nuclear Waste Management Challenge

The European Union's recognition of nuclear energy as a green energy source has led to increased investment, but challenges persist in managing and disposing of nuclear waste. The estimated salary for this position is £19,237 per year.

Circular Economy Approach

Circular economy principles involve reducing waste, reusing resources, and recycling practices such as reducing, reusing, and recycling. This PhD project aims to investigate the intersection of circular economy principles and whole life cycle strategies in nuclear decommissioning.

Job Requirements
  1. A PhD degree in Chemical & Biological Engineering or related field
  2. Experience with big data analysis, material flow analysis, life cycle assessment, and machine learning methodologies

Tuition fees are covered, and a tax-free stipend of £19,237 per year is provided for 4 years. A £46,500 research support and training grant is also available.
