Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

A well-established building services design consultancy is seeking a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding office in Hertfordshire.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and ambitious Graduate Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for a wide range of projects, including those in the pharmaceutical, residential, retail, leisure, and office sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for projects, including electrical distribution systems, lighting systems, and control systems.
  • Work closely with other engineers and designers to ensure that electrical systems are integrated with other building services systems.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect electrical systems and ensure that they are functioning correctly.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their electrical system requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of electrical systems and building services design.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (preferably with an electrical bias).
  • Understanding of building services design engineering.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, with desirable experience in Dialux, Relux, or Amtech.
  • Ideally a graduate member of an appropriate institution, with ambitions to work towards Chartered Engineer status.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Local to the office with a Full UK Driver's License preferred.
