Job SummaryWe are seeking an Associate Scientist to join our antibody discovery team, where you will play a key role in delivering therapeutic antibodies against a range of oncology targets. As an Associate Scientist, you will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to generate antibody and antibody fragment reagents, perform purification, and maintain inventory.
Key Responsibilities- Generate antibody and antibody fragment reagents using bacterial and mammalian expression systems
- Purify antibody and antigen proteins using AKTA and other automated purification platforms
- Perform quality control using analytical techniques such as SDS-PAGE, HPLC, and Western blotting
- Maintain inventory of antibody and antigen proteins and support supply to the wider Antibody Discovery and Bioscience team
- Undertake molecular biology tasks such as restriction digest and golden gate cloning
- Maintain and operate state-of-the-art laboratory equipment
- Relevant degree in a life science or related field
- Knowledge of current protein expression and purification methods
- Knowledge of biochemical and/or cell-based assay systems
- Knowledge of molecular biology techniques relevant to the construction of expression vectors for downstream screening of antibodies and antibody fragments
- Experience in protein purification and use of AKTA instrumentation (desired)
- Experience with mammalian transient expression (desired)
- Knowledge of and interest in learning phage display technology and its application within antibody discovery programs
