Corporate Tax Manager Lead

We are seeking a seasoned tax professional to lead our corporate tax portfolio, working closely with clients to provide exceptional service and expert guidance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preparing individual and corporate tax returns, as well as year-end financial statements.
Job OverviewThis is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include bonus pay, flexible work arrangements, and opportunities for growth and development.
Responsibilities- Take ownership of our corporate tax portfolio, managing client accounts with complex tax needs.
- Solve problems independently, researching and creating innovative solutions to client issues.
- Support the Business Owner in strategic client management activities, including tax planning and structuring advice.
- Work collaboratively with the team to share knowledge and expertise that adds value.
- 5-10 years of experience in public practice, completing corporate and personal income tax returns.
- 1-3 years of experience in a Tax Manager position.
- Bachelor's degree or Ontario College Advanced Diploma.
- A solid understanding of Canadian accounting and taxation principles.
- Expertise in Xero (Tax Cycle), QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft, and Google Products.
- Deep understanding and ability to advise on tax minimization strategies.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to report to and work collaboratively with the Business Owner.
