Job Description Summary

The North Europe Grid System Integration (GSI) team is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to lead Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) studies for high voltage transmission projects, including Offshore Wind Farm connections into the Grid.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the FEED study engineering team to develop solutions that meet customer requirements and are commercially attractive.
  • Assess customer requirements, regulatory constraints, and standards to ensure compliance.
  • Develop a provisional power system architecture that meets project needs.
  • Work with system study engineers to assess performance and adjust design for Grid Code compliance and availability.
  • Present engineering options to stakeholders and customers to gain agreement and progress design.
  • Collaborate with offshore platform designers to develop a practical realization of the power system.
  • Work with mechanical, electrical, and civil designers to develop a practical realization of the power system for the onshore substation.
  • Formulate a commercial offer to the customer for the proposed design.
Requirements:
  • First degree in Power Engineering or an electrical engineering discipline.
  • Experience working in electrical FEED study work on high voltage transmission systems, preferably Offshore Wind Farm connections.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical load flow, equipment sizing, reactive power, and harmonic management.
Desired Characteristics:
  • Strong understanding of the power transmission business and electrical power grid operations.
