Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

Our client, a leading company in the Defence Maritime industry, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their project teams. As a key member of the organisation, you will play a leading role in the development of electrical systems for a diverse range of exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop advanced electrical schematics to meet project requirements.
  • Analyse and optimise electrical systems to ensure performance and proficiency.
  • Create detailed requirements for electrical systems, laying the foundation for exceptional designs.
  • Capture and document electrical schematics and designs precisely.
  • Choose the most appropriate cables and protective devices to ensure the highest level of safety and reliability.
  • Provide expert advice and review on electrical component selection, contributing to the success of every project.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with the engineering and project teams to produce exceptional results.
Requirements:
  • HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in specifying electrical components, highlighting attention to detail and critical thinking.
  • Knowledge of electrical standards, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Quick learner with a flexible and adaptable engineering approach.
Desired:
  • Knowledge of electronics to enhance innovation and exploration of new possibilities.
  • Experience in designing electrical systems.
  • Proven experience using Zuken E3, showcasing expertise with recognised design tools.
