Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Manager to join our team at First Call Contract Services, Ltd. in Latchingdon, near Southminster.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the engineering function, ensuring the efficient operation of the production facilities. Key responsibilities include:
- Reducing maintenance costs by a minimum of 10%-20%.
- Reducing external maintenance costs by a minimum of 20%.
- Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize reactive maintenance.
- Adopting a Safety First approach in all maintenance activities.
- Developing and managing risk assessments for site plant and fabrication maintenance.
- Completing root cause analyses for defects, internal and 3rd party non-conformities, or customer complaints when relevant to machinery and equipment.
- Ensuring adherence to the Plant Preventive Maintenance schedule and implementing required checks and maintenance.
- Identifying risks and opportunities for plant equipment and fabrics and highlighting them to the Senior Management Team.
- Staying up-to-date on all training.
- Attending and implementing knowledge into all current and future capital projects.
- Ensuring maintenance KPIs are met and reporting back at the end of the year.
- Attending weekly management meetings with different line managers across the organization, assisting with day-to-day business activities that can arise in the management meeting and performing general ad-hoc duties as they arise.
- Assisting the team in the implementation of BRCGS accreditation.
- Implementing measuring equipment calibration, utilities, equipment, and maintenance procedures.
- Developing, maintaining, and implementing equipment manuals and enhancing Standard Operating Procedures accordingly.
- Developing a clean and well-maintained engineering storage or workshop.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, systems, and tools.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance operations.
