About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Health Care Assistant to join our team at Prometheus Safe and Secure. As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our qualified nursing staff in providing high-quality care to patients with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the safe transfer of patients, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained at all times.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients, promoting a calm and comfortable environment.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans, addressing the unique needs of each patient.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and secure working environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, ensuring you remain up-to-date with best practices in patient care.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a Health Care Assistant in a mental health setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Valid Enhanced DBS and full UK driving license (essential for driving company ambulances).
