Exciting Opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Engineer - Electrical Bias

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer - with Electrical Bias to join our friendly team at our Ashby site, home to iconic KP brands such as Hula Hoops, Skips, Nik Naks, and Space Raiders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repairing and maintaining production and ancillary equipment, property, and facilities to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum and in line with the requirements of the production process and plan.
  • Creating PPM schedules, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and completing data entry records within appropriate timescales.
  • Acting as host for Contractors working on site, ensuring that all necessary documentation is available and completed, and that safe working practices are agreed prior to commencement of work.
  • Responding to requests from production and Maintenance Leads for engineering assistance, monitoring visual management boards to ensure priority items are dealt with.
  • Working with the production teams to improve their capability and knowledge of the equipment.
  • Ability to quickly identify problems, perform root cause analysis to stop repeat failures.
  • Following policies and procedures in conjunction with the food quality management system and retailer-specific technical standards.
  • Playing an active part in food safety and health and safety, identifying hazards and risks, and ensuring all health and safety procedures and safe working practices are always followed.

We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience gained within a food manufacturing environment, holding a City & Guilds Level 3 or higher in electrical engineering, ideally multi-skilled.
