Estimated salary: £32,000 - £45,000 per annum.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Child Mental Health Specialist to join our team in Barnsley. The successful candidate will work with children and young people (CYP) with special educational needs (SEN) or those requiring tailored support.

The ideal candidate will have experience in mental health interventions or psychoeducation, strong partnership and caseload management skills, and a commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional development.

You will receive excellent supervision, training, and opportunities to grow your career while shaping mental health in education.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver evidence-based 1:1 and group interventions to CYP with mild to moderate mental health needs.
  • Support Senior Mental Health Leads in schools to embed a Whole School Approach.
  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and signposting for education staff.
Requirements:
  • Suitably qualified Mental Health Practitioner (e.g., mental health nursing/CYP-IAPT).
  • Teaching qualification.
  • Youth Mental Health First Aid trained.
  • Accredited training in SEN support.
