About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Waste Operative to join our team at Watergate Bay Hotel. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient collection and disposal of all waste and recycling from the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Helping to maintain a safe environment for both team and guests, adhering to our health and safety policy and procedures.
  • Ensuring the efficient collection and disposal of all waste and recycling from the business.
  • Completing mandatory training and adhering to principles regarding best sustainability practice.
  • Fulfilling any other reasonable requests and using provided personal protective equipment (PPE) when carrying out tasks.
  • Reporting any health and safety issues to the maintenance manager.

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar industry, preferably hospitality.
  • Knowledge of current health and safety legislation.
  • Willingness to follow instructions and good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Full, clean driving license and excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and happy to work under your own supervision.
