Job Title: Lead Engineer - Requirements Configuration

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer to join our team on a major project located in Warrington. As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for a variety of engineering tasks in the initial planning and design phase of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform engineering calculations, prepare specifications, perform analyses, perform testing, issue reports, and maintain related data.
  • Maintain liaison with design and drafting groups.
  • Prepare and review drawings as required.
  • Advise the Lead Project Engineer about the status of assignments with respect to schedule, delays, and adverse problems.
  • Ensure quality, quantity, and completeness of assigned engineering tasks.
  • Plan and schedule engineering efforts associated with assigned projects.
  • Maintain timely and accurate oral and written technical reports regarding assigned engineering activities.
  • Keep proper engineering files and records.
  • Understand and use computer software and applications associated with engineering assignments.
  • Continually upgrade technical knowledge and capabilities and pursue additional training.
  • Express ideas clearly and listen effectively to the ideas of others.
  • Familiar with codes, permits, and company cornerstone applications.
  • Familiar with the work sequence, general content, and methods used to generate specifications for the purchase of material, equipment, systems, services, or construction within the engineer's discipline.
  • Can read and understand construction drawings.
  • Can fully integrate constructability concerns into engineering solutions.
  • Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements:
  • Ideal degree-qualified or HNC/HND in an engineering discipline.
  • Previous experience in highly regulated industries.
  • Proven experience in delivering projects of over £1 million.
  • Proven excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing work environment and previous experience of managing high-value projects.
  • Proven knowledge of nuclear site decommissioning and waste management.
Security Clearance:

You will be eligible for UK SC security clearance.
