We are seeking a skilled Radiation Safety Specialist to join our team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The ideal candidate will have experience in radiation protection and safety, as well as a strong background in Quality Assurance.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing scientific and technical support and radiation safety services to the trust and external organisations. This includes acting as the Medical Physics Expert for specified areas of work and maintaining records of QA tests and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide highly complex and specialised radiological physics support and scientific and technical expertise to the trust and SLA customers.
  • To act as the Medical Physics Expert for specified areas of work for the Trust and the Service Level Agreement customers.
  • To maintain records of all QA tests and procedures within databases, for the trust and SLA customers.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a MSc in Medical Physics or equivalent and NHS STP training in medical physics or equivalent. They will also have proven competence and experience to act as a Medical Physics Expert under IRMER.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
