About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your technical skills, stay up-to-date with industry standards and trends, and be a key team player in the successful completion of IFAB projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with designers, engineers, and project managers to design optimized industrial and commercial facilities;
  • Evaluate and interpret project requirements to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions;
  • Develop HVAC, plant utility, plumbing, and fire suppression systems, as well as mechanical/utility equipment construction specifications;
  • Act as Engineer of Record to seal drawings for building permits;
  • Support project managers with design work and project coordination as required;
  • Work under the guidance of the Mechanical Engineering Manager to develop design skills and ensure design quality standards are met.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized college or university;
  • Strong technical, organizational, coordination, and communication skills, as demonstrated through previous project work;
  • Proven experience with office software such as the MS Office Suite;
  • Experience in the Food and Beverage Industry is considered an asset but not required.
Work Environment

Work is generally completed in a newly renovated office environment, with some days working from individual homes as we offer a flexible hybrid schedule. Some travel is necessary to support project presentations at client sites across Canada, with travel expected 10-20% of the time.
