Job Description

Job Title: Site Setting Engineer

Job Summary:

XYZ Reality is seeking a highly skilled Site Setting Engineer to join our team. As a Site Setting Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of construction installations across various disciplines using our cutting-edge Augmented Reality technology, The Atom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily site inspections using The Atom to ensure works are installed correctly, on time, and as per the Building Information Model (BIM).
  • Establish and maintain a control network using a total station.
  • Produce reports based on daily inspections.
  • Attend meetings to coordinate with contractors and plan daily activities.
  • Process and review acquired data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Report to the Senior Field Application Engineer (FAE) or FAE Manager, maintaining an efficient workflow and ensuring all requested inspections are conducted within the specified time frame.
  • Work with contractors to devise a weekly lookahead of inspections in line with the master construction programme to de-risk incorrect installation.
  • Obtain and prepare the latest approved Revit models to export into HoloSite.

Requirements:

  • A qualification (diploma or degree) or 2+ years of experience in land surveying, construction surveying, or geospatial/geodetic engineering.
  • A strong work ethic, ambition, and interest in new technology.
  • English fluency (written and oral).
  • Knowledge of 3D software (Revit, Navisworks, etc.) or BIM/BIM360 is beneficial.
  • Confidence in using Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, and Excel.
