Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Practitioner to join our Women and Families team at The Nelson Trust. In this role, you will deliver trauma-informed, holistic services to families facing substance misuse challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of families, providing tailored support to meet their needs.
  • Offer interventions to build family resilience, improve parenting, and address the impacts of substance use.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, develop action plans, and support families in accessing specialist services.
  • Conduct assessments, participate in multi-agency meetings, and contribute to social care, safeguarding, and child protection efforts.

Requirements

  • Accurate record keeping and ongoing professional development are essential.
  • Due to the nature of the work carried out in our Women's Centres, this role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
