About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our Transformation Unit as the Strategic Lead for Patient Services. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and implementation of patient services across our hospitals, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and modern services to patients and clinical services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the strategic direction for patient services, aligning with local, regional, and national requirements and priorities.
  • Critically evaluate operational processes and systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and performance is reviewed according to departmental procedures.
  • Support the Associate Director, Pharmacy Operations, and deputize for them in their absence.
  • Manage the registered licensed premises at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals, adhering to regulations.
  • Lead the development of the patient services education and training strategy, career development for pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants.
Requirements
  • Registered Technician with GPHC
  • Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice
Key Skills and Experience
  • Operational and project management experience (2yrs)
  • Excellent understanding and track record of change
  • Knowledge of regulations and legislation for medicines
  • Risk management and proven track record in managing risk
  • Incident management, experience of AAR and implementing learning
