The Role

This pivotal role will see you working closely with our People Team to source and screen candidates for various volunteer positions across the organisation. As a key member of our recruitment process, you'll create engaging role descriptions, manage candidate progress using tools like Teamtailor, and ensure a seamless candidate experience.

  • Sourcing Candidates: Identify potential volunteers through job boards, social media, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Screening and Interviewing: Evaluate candidate applications and conduct interviews to assess suitability for volunteer roles.
  • Creating Role Descriptions: Develop inclusive, engaging role descriptions that accurately reflect position responsibilities and expectations.
  • Managing the Recruitment Process: Utilise tools like Teamtailor to track candidate progress, maintain records, and ensure timely follow-up with applicants.
  • Building a Volunteer Network: Establish and maintain relationships with community groups and networks to cultivate a strong pipeline of potential volunteers.
  • Collaborating with Team Leads: Work alongside various team leaders to understand their specific recruitment needs and tailor strategies accordingly.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Recruitment Knowledge: Experience in recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing.
  • Diversity & Inclusion Awareness: Understanding of the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and ability to promote these values.
  • Proficiency in Recruitment Tools: Familiarity with tools like Teamtailor and ability to utilise them effectively.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with candidates and stakeholders.
  • Networking Ability: Strong networking skills to build relationships with community groups and networks.
  • Collaborative Approach: Ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Ability to adapt to changing situations and resolve problems efficiently.
