About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire organization's database operations, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance across all systems. This includes managing a portfolio of approximately 900 databases, with a focus on Microsoft SQL technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Trust's database technology strategy, working closely with the Head of Department to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on SQL database technology, providing guidance and support to the team.
  • Continuously monitor and improve database performance, ensuring data quality and integrity through regular audits and maintenance.
  • Plan, manage, and execute multiple database projects simultaneously, often exceeding 50 projects per year, to drive business growth and efficiency.
  • Design and implement new database systems, leveraging expertise in SQL technology to drive business outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft SQL technology and database management systems.
  • Proven experience in database operations, with a focus on performance optimization and data quality.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive strategic initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines.
