Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Speech and Language Therapist in prison mental health services at NHS. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a small team and assessing communication needs of prisoners.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assess communication difficulties in prison settings
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice and person-centred care
  • Lead a small SLT team and work alongside healthcare professionals

Person Specification

  • HCPC registration required
  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy necessary
  • Masters in relevant subject or willingness to undertake within agreed timescale
  • Recognised qualifications in specialist areas or willingness to achieve within agreed timescale
  • Clinical Supervisory Skills course essential
  • Post graduate dysphagia training and experience desirable

Salary and Benefits

The annual salary for this role is £37,338 to £52,809 per annum (pro rata), and includes flexible working arrangements, including full-time, part-time, job share, compressed hours.
