Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and process customs documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with HMRC legislation.
  • Submit customs entries using ASM Sequoia and maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs procedures and regulations.
  • Respond to customer queries in a timely and professional manner, providing clear and concise information.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customs-related issues and ensure seamless clearance processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, customs authorities, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in air import customs clearance, with a strong understanding of CHIEF, CNS, and Destin8.
  • Excellent IT and systems skills, with proficiency in Excel and other relevant software.
  • Good knowledge of incoterms, customs procedures, and HMRC tariff, CPCs, and preferences.
  • Experience working with NET Freight and Descartes System.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
