Job Title: Air Import Customs Clerk

At Red Recruit, we are seeking a highly skilled Air Import Customs Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our freight and shipping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth clearance of air imports, liaising with customers and customs authorities, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all customs documents are accurate and submitted on time.
  • Utilize ASM Sequoia to submit customs entries in line with HMRC legislation.
  • Respond to customer queries promptly, within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Deal with customs amendments and reclaims efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, customs authorities, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years' experience in air import customs clearance.
  • Good knowledge of CHIEF, CNS, and Destin8.
  • Excellent IT and systems skills, particularly with Excel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Good understanding of incoterms, customs processes, and HMRC tariff.
