Support Specialist for Students with Complex Needs

We are seeking an experienced Support Specialist to join our team at a special school in North Bristol/South Gloucestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting students with complex needs and disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with students aged 4-16 with a wide range of special needs, including Complex Needs, ASD, SLD, MLD, and PMLD. They will be able to provide general classroom and one-to-one support to students, as well as work closely with teachers to develop individualized plans.

As a Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the happiness and well-being of our students. You will work in a supportive and collaborative environment, where your expertise and experience will be valued and respected.

This is a full-time or part-time position available, depending on your preference. The school is open to applications from candidates with experience outside of schools, particularly those with skills and qualifications that can benefit our students with complex needs.

About the Role
  • Provide general classroom and one-to-one support to students with complex needs
  • Work closely with teachers to develop individualized plans and strategies
  • Assist with lessons and activities to ensure student engagement and participation
  • Contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning environment

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £20,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package, including holiday pay, sick pay, and statutory employment rights.
