Web Developer for Automated Customer Systems Industrial Placement

We are seeking a skilled Web Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of our computational infrastructure. As a Web Developer for Automated Customer Systems, you will play a crucial role in creating intuitive web-based user interfaces for our microelectronics engineering software solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop aesthetically pleasing and dynamic web interfaces for external customers and internal management systems.
- Enhance existing web-based systems that provide customer portals and user interfaces to complex microelectronics design environments in secure virtual private clouds (AWS and Azure).
- Ensure the security of data by following thorough procedures with meticulous attention to detail in secure coding processes.
- Currently enrolled on an undergraduate degree course and returning to university/studies to complete your undergraduate degree following the placement.
- Required or have requested to take an industrial placement year.
- Have the right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the placement.
- Able to commence employment in summer 2025.
- Studying relevant degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar with degree content relevant to the vacancy.
- Proven ability in software development, especially scripting languages.
- Good understanding of HTML and CSS and appreciation of the principles of good web design.
- Understanding of how data may be mapped to database architectures for dynamically served content.
- Demonstrate a logical approach to software debugging and a genuine interest in discovering more about web systems development.
- Solid grasp of modern online system security principles.
- Diligent, reliable and hardworking with good social skills and the ability to identify and communicate relevant technical information in English.
