About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lymphoedema Specialist to join our dynamic team at St Margaret's Somerset Hospice. As a key member of our palliative care team, you will play a vital role in providing expert care and support to patients with lymphoedema throughout Somerset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessment, treatment, and education to patients with primary and secondary lymphoedema.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless care management and referrals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to promote self-management and improve outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in lymphoedema management to optimize high-quality care.
Person Specification
  • Registration and professional qualification as a Nurse, Physiotherapist, or Occupational Therapist.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to manage conflict situations and work autonomously as part of a team.
  • Computer literacy and ability to use work documents, spreadsheets, and email communication.
  • Ability to travel to undertake community, outreach, and domiciliary work.
