Mobile Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team at KION Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing breakdown cover for Dematic installed equipment across various customer sites in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and industry standard practices.
  • Undertake emergency repairs in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and industry standard practices.
  • Undertake occasional scheduled service work in accordance with standards set out in relevant manufacturer's equipment manual.
  • Accurately record all work undertaken.
  • Provide 24hr x 7day emergency on-call service as required.
  • Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.
  • Ensure quality of output at all times.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Ensure correct equipment/tools are carried to undertake the role.
  • Adhere to Quality processes and procedures as set out by the company.
  • Identify continuous improvement and sales opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ideal 5 years of experience within warehouse automated industry. However, we will also consider those from related engineering environments such as Aerospace, Automotive, FMCG and Manufacturing.
  • Minimum ONC (or equivalent) qualification in Mechanical / Maintenance discipline.
  • Electrical qualified.
  • Good understanding of materials handling and automated systems.
  • LEEAPart 1 is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of LOLER regulations.
  • Working knowledge of FEM and BS standards governing the automated warehouse industry.
  • Full UK Driving Licence due to travel requirements of the position.
