Mentorship Program Coordinator
We are seeking an experienced Mentorship Program Coordinator to join our team in Dorset. In this role, you will provide guidance and support to young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) as they explore self-employment opportunities.

You will assist young people in identifying, applying for, and securing work-based opportunities, developing and maintaining partnerships with local employers, and collaborating with colleagues across the organization. Your strong interpersonal skills and experience working with young people with SEND make you an ideal candidate for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support for young people with SEND, assisting them in their journey to self-employment.
  • Assist young people with identifying, applying for, and securing work-based opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local employers, promoting the benefits of working with young people with SEND.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to ensure young people receive appropriate support and guidance.
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, and diversity at all times.

Requirements:
  • Experience working with young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with young people, parents, employers, and colleagues.
  • Previous experience in job coaching or workplace learning is highly desirable.
  • Clear, concise report writing and presentation skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of young people.
  • Understanding and promotion of equality, diversity, and inclusion in all activities.

Location and Salary:
Dorset - £16 per hour
